Stevenson Marks 60th Anniversary of Macduff Distillery

Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP Stewart Stevenson has marked the 60th anniversary of a north-east distillery with a motion to the Scottish Parliament. 

The Macduff Distillery in Banffshire opened in 1960 and has produced both The Deveron and previously the Glen Deveron single malt whiskies. 

Commenting, Stewart Stevenson MSP said:

 

“I am delighted to mark this significant anniversary for the Macduff Distillery with a motion to the Scottish Parliament. 

“The distillery has brought many benefits to the local area in its 60 years and I am sure it will continue for many decades more. 

“Its recent contribution helping to produce 15,000 litres of hand sanitiser for use by the emergency services NHS and cares home has also been greatly appreciated.”
