Stevenson Welcomes Supermarket Commitment to Local Companies

Banff & Buchan MSP Stewart Stevenson has welcomed the commitment made by supermarket giant ASDA to several local companies.

Mr Stevenson was speaking after an event in the Scottish Parliament sponsored by ASDA to promote Scottish produce. Companies from Banffshire were represented, including Sangs of Macduff.

Commenting, Stewart Stevenson said:

“This was a very worthwhile event. I am very pleased to see a major supermarket such as ASDA working closely with local companies such as Sangs to promote their products to as wide a marketplace as possible.

“Sangs have a long association with Banffshire and have developed some innovative products in recent years. It was therefore very good to see Sangs present in the range of Scottish companies that ASDA are working with.”
