Stevenson Welcomes Clean Bill of Health for Banffshire & Buchan Coast Bathing Waters

Local MSP Stewart Stevenson has welcomed the announcement from the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) that all six “classified bathing waters” in his constituency have achieved ‘Good’ or ‘Sufficient’ ratings with Fraserburgh Philorth achieving an ‘Excellent’ rating.

Commenting, Mr Stevenson said:

“I very much welcome the figures released by SEPA on the coastal bathing waters around Banffshire & Buchan Coast Constituency.

“These are first-rate results with Fraserburgh Philorth in particular achieving an ‘Excellent’ rating, which is tremendous for the area.

“Our beaches and bathing waters at Peterhead’s Lido, Rosehearty, Inverboyndie, Fraserburgh and Cullen Bay are very popular with visitors so I’m very pleased with these results.”
