(l to r): Cllr Alastair Forsyth Stewart Stevenson MSP Christian Allard MEP |
Commenting, Stewart Stevenson said:
"New Deer Show is an important tradition, with over 170 years of history behind it. There is a huge amount of work for the Committee in organising the event and setting it up and it is thoroughly deserving of the support of the community.
“I had a useful meeting with local members of NFU Scotland. Brexit is clearly a concern for the farming community. Boris Johnson’s pledge to return to Scottish farmers the £160million of convergence money which the UK Government withheld from them is clearly welcome and I will be raising that issue with the DEFRA Secretary once he or she is confirmed in their position later this week.”
