The fund’s Townscape Heritage Programme will provide up to £58,000 to assist in preparation for £1.8million of regeneration works, including restoration of the historic Saltoun Chambers.
Commenting, Stewart Stevenson MSP said:
“This is tremendous news for Fraserburgh and I congratulate all those involved in this successful bid.
“This funding, which will assist in making the town centre a more attractive place for visitors, locals and shoppers, can build on the good work already being done to attract and keep trade in the town by schemes such as Super Saturday.”

SNP MP Eilidh Whiteford added:
“Regenerating Fraserburgh is all about partnership working between local businesses, public bodies and civic society. I’m pleased to see Fraserburgh getting a fair crack at some lottery cash to help it along.
“Much has been achieved in recent times and this funding will help keep the momentum going forward.”
