MSP Welcomes Small Business Bonus for Thousands of Aberdeenshire Businesses

Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP Stewart Stevenson recently met with the Federation of Small Businesses to discuss the Scottish Government’s investment in the long term success of towns and high streets across Scotland.

Small businesses in the North-east are a large part of the economy making up 96% of the 14,185 registered businesses in Aberdeenshire Council.

Mr Stevenson took the opportunity to discuss the need to transform towns by delivering a sustainable future for local places and ensure businesses grow locally.

The meeting comes following 7,343 businesses in Aberdeenshire have received the Small Business Bonus in 2018-19.

Commenting Mr Stevenson said:

“I was delighted to meet with officials from FSB to discuss further the investment in businesses in my constituency.

“I welcome the news locally that thousands of small businesses have benefited from the Small Business Bonus.

“I know this bonus will make a huge difference to local small businesses in Aberdeenshire.”
